Trailer Trash: Gangster Squad

Cast: Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Josh Brolin, Giovanni Ribisi, Nick Nolte, Anthony Mackie

Summary: A chronicle of the LAPD’s fight to keep East Coast Mafia types out of Los Angeles in the 1940s and 50s.

Verdict: I’m worried this will be one of those movies that has so many good actors they cancel each other out because they’re all busy having fun and jerking each other off and the movie ends up sucking. Not that these actors seem like anything but Serious about their Crahft, but who is the lead here? Penn? Gosling? Brolin? It already looks cheaply fake-cool in the trailer. And let us not forget Public Enemies. Keeping my fingers crossed though.
